I was born in Rugari in 1979. I am married to Bavukirahe Pascasy. We have two children. I applied to join ICCN in 2003 and I joined up with about 30 others. It was 2009 before I got to follow the gorillas. I am very interested in the gorillas – they have a special place in my heart. I would like to spend more time in this corner of Virunga to get to know the gorillas better.
I am hopeful for the future and work as hard as I can, especially in this time of crisis. I’m fairly sure my son will be a ranger because he’s always saying that he wants to follow me to work. Admittedly it is not easy for us but it is the job we do and I think it’s a respectable one.
